Delegates of the third European Congress of Leather Chemists visiting ILSA

On 20 September 2022, the last day of work of the third edition of the European Congress of IULTCS - International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies - which began on the 18th in Vicenza, the delegates visited the Vicenza Tanning district.

They proceeded to our plants, where we manufacture fertilisers and bio stimulants for sustainable farming. ILSA and the leather industry have been united for nearly 70 years, when the founder of the company, a young chemist, sensed the possibility of reusing the waste of tanned leathers from which to obtain precious protein. ILSA is today known for its highly efficient agronomic, fertilizer and bio stimulant specialities, which it sells in over 60 countries around the world, but the raw materials it produces, including those of vegetable origin, have countless fields of application: from nutraceuticals aesthetics, from bioplastics to biopolymers, to glues and materials.

In the photo, Franco Cavazza, the industrial director of ILSA, shows the thermobaric hydrolysis and enzymatic bio catalysis plants of the Arzignano plant to European chemistry professionals, where the recovery of precious proteins and amino acids extracted from scraps and waste of tanned leather takes place, to produce organic fertilizers and biostimulants with high agronomic efficiency.
