ISO Renewal

03/09/2024

The significance of voluntary international certifications lies in their role in ensuring high standards of quality and environmental care by the organizations that undertake them.

(Arzignano, Vicenza) – Last July, ILSA successfully renewed its ISO certifications, passing the triennial renewal audit for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, as well as the annual surveillance for ISO 50001:2018. ISO stands for the “International Organization for Standardization,” an organization responsible for defining the technical standards that an entity must meet to be compliant with specific evaluation criteria.

These certifications attest to the company’s compliance with evaluation criteria designed to ensure the presence of specific elements within business processes. Adherence to these standards is not legally mandatory but voluntary. In practice, they are acknowledgments that certify the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a management and organizational system aligned with specific internationally recognized standards.

ISO 9001:2015 – QUALITY is a standard that defines the requirements for quality management systems in the workplace, setting the standards that organizations must adopt to achieve the promised results for the end customer. ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance. It is intended for organizations seeking to manage their environmental responsibilities systematically and contribute to the environmental sustainability of their business. ISO 50001 aims to provide companies with an approach focused on the continuous improvement of their management systems' performance and the promotion of energy efficiency. The certification is valid for three years and is contingent upon passing an official audit conducted by an independent notified body, which annually verifies the compliance of processes with the relevant ISO standards.

“ISO certifications not only provide official recognition of the conformity of our management systems to the highest international standards,” emphasizes Andrea Panzolato, Head of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment at ILSA, “but also communicate to all our business partners, customers, and institutional stakeholders the commitment and involvement of all employees towards the continuous improvement of product quality and process innovation.”
